How OpportunityHub works
What OpportunityHub does
OpportunityHub lists scholarships, internships, grants and fellowships open to Africans, with a focus on Nigerians. Every listing has the deadline, the key facts, our own short summary and a link to the official website. We never take applications ourselves.
How matching works
- You upload your CV. We read it within seconds and draft a profile: nationality, qualifications, field of study, experience, skills and languages.
- You correct the profile. Anything we were unsure about is highlighted. Your edits are never overwritten by a later CV.
- We check every open opportunity. Each one gets a label and the reasons behind it.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Eligible | You meet every requirement the provider states, and nothing else is required. |
| Likely eligible | You meet the nationality and education rules. One or two details are not stated, or the provider asks for extra items such as an essay. |
| Check details | The provider does not state its nationality or education rules, or several details are unclear. Read the official page. |
| Not eligible | At least one requirement rules you out. These are hidden unless you choose “Show all”. |
Within each label, opportunities are ordered by fit: Strong, Good or Fair. Fit looks at your field of study, your skills, whether the programme is your natural next step, funding, whether it targets Africans, and how soon it closes.
Where listings come from
Our crawler collects opportunities twice a day from a short list of reliable sources and publishes those that pass our quality checks. If something looks wrong, use the link on the listing to tell us and we will correct it.
